About Virtual Prince William

Virtual Prince William is the county's online learning program.  It is a supplemental program where students can take virtual courses instead of the traditional setting.  VPW provides a unique opportunity for students to earn high school credit in an online classroom.  Students and teachers communicate within the learning management system utilizing tools such as secure email, audio, video, web conferencing, live lessons, and messaging.  Students are provided with quality, standards based courses taught by highly-qualified PWCS teachers.  All courses are aligned with PWCS and Virginia SOL objectives and state standards.  Virtual Prince William instructors provide direct instruction to students online and communicate directly with parents to help ensure student success.  VPW courses are NCAA approved as non-traditional courses.
